Report: Abderezzak 'Al-Bara' Joins Other Historic GSPC Commanders in Condemning Al-Qaeda Maghreb
'Amari Saifi, AKA Abderezzak Al-Bara The former commander of the Sahara in the Algerian Salafi Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), Abderezzak "Al-Bara," has joined other former GSPC commanders in condemning Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb. Al-Bara's real name is 'Amari Saifi; his nickname is an Arabization of the word "paratrooper," reflecting his pre-jihad career as a special forces soldier in the Algerian national army.
